Our Training
We offer different training programs in collaboration with our parent company Marquard & Bahls:
Office Administrator
The traineeship begins on August 1 every year, as a rule takes three years and concludes with a Chamber of Industry and Commerce examination.
The focal points of your traineeship:
- Getting to know our company
- Organization and functional contexts, e.g. office management processes
- Information processing, e.g. texts, data and figures
- Accounting, bookkeeping and costing
- Human resources management, e.g. payroll accounting
- Order processing, invoicing and stock-keeping
If you are interested in doing your traineeship with us, we expect the following from you:
- High school diploma
- Talent for organization and the willingness to learn new skills
- Interest in operational processes and organizational activities
- Passion for working with computers and figures
- Enjoyment of constant contact with people and teamwork
- Good German and English skills (both written and spoken)
Harbor Logistics Specialist
This training program begins on August 1 every year, normally lasts three years and ends with an examination conducted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The core subjects of your training program are:
- Planning, organizing and executing logistical processes
- Controlling the quality, quantity and consistence of goods
- Learning how to deal with mineral oil products and comply with standard and internal regulations
- Handling loading and unloading on barges, tank wagons and trucks
- Maintenance of outside facilities
- Health and safety in the workplace
If you are interested in doing your traineeship with us, we expect the following from you:
- High-school diploma and good grades in mathematics and chemistry
- Communication skills and an excellent sense of responsibility
- Reliability, team spirit and customer orientation
- Physical fitness (shift work) and the willingness to “get your hands dirty”
- Enjoyment of using IT
- Driver’s license (B)
